Update: March Listening Session becomes a Town Hall

Project Phoenix Update

February 28, 2019

Over 40 people attended last Sundays’ Project Phoenix listening session in the

Treehouse Social Hall from 1:30 to 3:00PM. People expressed their feelings and

opinions about our future home in a respectful way and the comments are much

appreciated. One of the overriding concerns expressed was that people wanted a Q&A

session. In response to those comments, we have changed the format of the next

meeting from a listening session to a Town Hall.

There will be a Project Phoenix Town Hall on Mar 10 from 1:30 to 3:00PM

in the Social Hall. Childcare will be available.

The Q&A answers from the February 10th meeting will be available early next week and a

link will be provided in next week’s update.

Straw poll voting for the various options continue. Everybody will be given an

opportunity to place one dot next to one of the 5 Options to vote their preference. There

is no requirement that you make an immediate decision. The posters and dots will be

available at UUCA in the reception area.

The design of the “Future Home of UUCA” sign continues and should be ready for

Steering Team approval by mid-March.

A new communications format that combines and incorporates all of the Project

Phoenix activities and information is being developed. Stay tuned for further

On February 20th the Finance Consultant Search Committee shortlisted three firms and

will conduct in-person interviews in early March. The team will report to the

congregation as progress continues to be made.

Monday-Thursday during office hours (see Travis for access) and Sunday from 9:00AM

to 12:30PM (see the Building Attendant for access). The binders may be reviewed in the

Project Phoenix Office. The video of the February 10 the presentation is available a HERE.
