Project Phoenix Weekly Update
March 21, 2019
Along with Nicole Pressley, UUCA Director of Communication, we are working on a sign for 2650 North Druid Hills announcing it as the future home of UUCA and asking people to visit us now at 1190 West Druid Hills. DeKalb County must approve this type of signage, and our permit request is in process.
Straw poll voting for the 5 options for our 2650 North Druid Hills location will continue through April 30. Please place your preference dot on one of the big boards in the reception area at the Tree House (1190 West Druid Hills). There is also an online survey which includes room for your comments. You can visit the following URL to vote (even if you voted in person with dots): https://bit.ly/2JvBEhN
On March 20, the Fundraising Consultant Search Team (Beth Stevenson, Charles Forrest, Dave Sjoquist, Bryce Thomason, and Carol Ann Arvan) met to review proposals submitted by the three finalist firms. Following some clarifying conversations with the candidates, the team will recommend one firm to the UUCA Board’s Finance Committee for consideration. If approved, the Finance Committee will then recommend the firm to the UUCA Board of Trustees. If approved by the Board, the selection will be announced to all the firms who participated in our search and to the congregation.
