Project Phoenix Update May 9, 2019 The next tour of our property at 2650 N. Druid Hill has been scheduled for Sunday, June 9th from 1:30 – 3:00pm.
Option voting closed on May 8. The majority of the votes strongly favor Option 4. We will report the results next week once both the dot and on-line votes have been tallied.
Our attorney is actively working with DeKalb County to get the permit for the installation of the sign at 2650 N. Druid Hills.
Coxe Curry and Associates is currently in the planning phase of the Feasibility Study. Over the next couple of weeks, they will work with a small task team from UUCA consisting of John Guyton, Ellen Beattie, Bryce Thomason, Carol Ann Arvan, and Rev. Taryn Strauss to gather background information on UUCA. They will then take 4 weeks to conduct screenings, draft study collateral materials, recruit the Feasibility Study Committee and draft the preliminary case statement. After the planning phase, they will enter the interview phase which they expect to take 6-8 weeks and will deliver the final report 2 weeks after. If things go according to plan, Coxe Curry and Associates hope to provide their final report recommendations by the September Board Meeting.
We are planning activities for volunteers to work on the grounds of our new facility at 2650 N Druid Hills. We will have more details soon.
